- The garbage disposal has a reset button located on the bottom of the main unit inside of the sink cabinet.
- Many hot water heaters (usually located in a closet) have a red reset button either exposed or behind a metal piece with screws attached. Within an hour of the button being pressed, hot water should be working.
- If a toilet is clogged or overflowing, per your lease agreement, you need to try plunging the toilet. If our maintenance is called out to plunge a toilet and plunging solves the problem, you will be charged $20 during office hours or $40 after maintenance office hours.
- If your smoke detector is beeping periodically, this is normally an indication that the battery needs to be replaced, which is the resident's responsibility.
- If you are having a problem with your apartment keys, please stop by the office for assistance.
- If power is out in any part of the apartment, check the circuit breaker first.
- If appliances are not working, check to see if they are plugged in. If they are, please check that the circuit breaker is on.
- If any lights are not working, please check light bulbs and circuit breaker. Per your lease, you are responsible for replacing light bulbs.
- If the power or water are not working in the whole apartment, call the number for the utility company. Please refer to the IMPORTANT PHONE NUMBERS page.
- If central air-conditioning is not working:
- Turn off a/c at thermostat
- Turn off circuit breaker to a/c for 1 minute
- Turn back on a/c circuit breaker
- Set thermostat to auto, cool, and make sure temperature is set to the degree you want
